3D large airway model, in which cilia form spontaneously as part of the differentiation process. |
CELLnTEC specializes in the use of advanced in vitro models for for toxicological testing, safety evaluation, and investigation of therapeutic or toxicological mechanisms. From human or animal tissue, using primary or long-term cultures in 2D or 3D, we have a broad range of in vitro solutions available.
Let us propose approaches for evaluation of toxicity, inflammation, apoptosis, cytotoxicity, genotoxicity, differentiation, tissue morphogenesis, stem cell activation, signal transduction, growth factor secretion or other mechanisms specific to your work.
The development of novel approaches to address challenging questions is a key focus for us. Many of the projects we have completed were driven by a pre-defined question or need, for which we then designed a specific experimental approach and in vitro model. Examples include a 3D models of bladder epithelium able to express specific signaling molecules, and also a sensitive 3D model of the vaginal epithelium, which in response to fluctuating hormone levels was found to modify its structure in a cyclical fashion, just as is observed during the estrus cycle in vivo.
Our own R & D program is continuing, with ongoing projects in the fields of cancer stem cells (isolation of prostate cancer stem cells from primary tumors), and in the field of intestinal absorption models using highly accurate early passage cells.
We are keen to propose a novel approach for your next project. Please contact us for more information, and a detailed proposal.
