This 3D cultures of rat urothelium were generated from the mono-layer urothelial cultures of RBVAK-WIS, using our defined rat bladder epithelium media CnT-16 and CnT-36.
As evident in the H & E stain, this model forms a 2-3 cell layer thick epithelium, closely matching that found in vivo.
In addition, it has also been characterized and found to express a range of markers, including CK13 and Uroplakin.
