Product Title:

Bladder Epithelium Progenitors, Single Donor

Normal human bladder progenitor cells, cryo preserved at P2. Primary cells supplied with one 500 mL kit of medium (basal medium with frozen supplements).

Warning:

This material is of human origin and should therefore be handled as hazardous. Although it has been tested negative for HIV 1, Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C, treat this material as potentially infectious, and use appropriate biocontainment, protective equipment and other precautions to prevent accidental exposure.

Recommended seeding density after thawing: CnT-58: 100 cell clumps / cm2; CnT-18: 300 cell clumps / cm2 .

For thawing instructions, please see general cultivation protocol on our resources section.

Freezing:

Recommended freezing density: 1 x 106 cells / mL.

For freezing instructions, please see general cultivation protocol on our resources section.

Quality Control:

Tested negative for Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C and HIV-1. Free of bacteria, fungi and mycoplasma contamination.

Shipping Conditions:

Cells and supplements are shipped on dry ice.
Basal medium is shipped at ambient temperature.

Comments:

Bladder cells are sensitive to trypsin and trypsin like enzymes. The use of these enzymes impairs the cell attachment and cell growth, therefore CELLnTEC recommends the use of Accutase for detachement.

For routine cell cultivation CELLnTEC recommends to work without antibiotics / antimycotics. For isolation, however, we recommend the use of antibiotics / antimycotics up to passage 2.

Intended Use:

For research use only. Not for use in therapy or diagnostics.
