Corneal Epithelium Progenitors, Single Donor
Normal human corneal progenitor cells, cryo preserved at P2. Primary cells supplied with one 500 mL kit of medium (basal medium with frozen supplements).
Warning:
This material is of human origin and should therefore be handled as hazardous. Although it has been tested negative for HIV 1, Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C, treat this material as potentially infectious, and use appropriate biocontainment, protective equipment and other precautions to prevent accidental exposure.

- 3 x HCEP.05.C: 3 vials > 5 x 105 viable cells per vial (1 mL)
- 1 x CnT-20 or CnT-50: 500 mL kit of CnT-20 or CnT-50 medium*

Cultivation:

Passaging:
Recommended seeding density after passaging: 4 x 103 cells / cm2 .

until experienced: 8 x 103 cells /cm2 back into old flask, in new flask and 4 x 103 / cm2

7 to 10 days (depending on temperature, seeding density and protocol)
Longevity:
Guaranteed to provide 12 population doublings when grown in a PCT medium.
Storage / Shelf Life:
Immediately upon arrival transfer the cryo vial to the liquid nitrogen container, until ready to use.

Thawing:
Recommended seeding density after thawing: 4 x 103 cells / cm2.
