Culture Media Overview

CELLnTEC media are designed to create specific environments tailored to to either improve isolation and proliferation of undifferentiated cells, or alternatively encourage complete differentiation in either 2D or 3D culture.

Our specialized media for isolation and proliferation of primary cells are known as the Progenitor Cell Targeted (PCT) media. Designed specifically for undifferentiated cells, PCT media improve retention of progenitor cells, and offer improved colony formation, progenitor cell marker expression and longevity.

Primary and Long-Term Cells

Cells Overview

A range of both primary and long-term epithelial cells established in our precision media are also available.

Primary human epithelial cells established in a PCT medium offer excellent morphology, high expression of progenitor cell markers, and extended in vitro longevity prior to senescence. 

Long-term animal epithelial cells are established from normal tissue, and are provided at approximately passage 25. These cells have spontaneously immortalized in culture, and unlike primary cells provide long-term in vitro growth (at least 6 months).
