Upregulation of differentiation markers in primary epidermal keratinocytes, isolated in CnT-07, differentiated in 2D for 8 days in CnT-02 + Ca.
In vivo, cells differentiate and stratify in response to specific signaling gradients in the tissue. These environments differ significantly from those found in the stem cell niche and other areas with undifferentiated progenitor cells.
Traditionally, culture media were developed exclusively for improved proliferation. However these media are often a poor foundation to meet the divergent needs of differentiating cells.
CELLnTEC addresses this issue with its range of Non-PCT 2D media. Designed with differentiation in mind, these media encourage complete cellular differentiation in response to a trigger such as calcium.
