Precision Models

3D epidermal model, established using cells aged either in the presence or absence of an active ingredient.  Unlike the untreated control, cells aged in the presence of the active were able to form a completely normal 3D structure, even after an extended aging process.

CELLnTEC scientists are constantly developing more accurate ways of modeling the complex processes found routinely in vivo.

This ongoing model development has lead us to:

  • Develop a range of precision media specifically designed for either retention of undifferentiated progenitor cells or to enhance differentiation
  • Explore a variety of culture methods, including 2D, 3D (stratified), and 3D (spheres)
  • Pursue novel testing protocols, enabling completely new perspectives on well established questions

Using our various approaches and experiences in combination, we have established a track record of using novel models and approaches to deliver detailed insights and unique perspectives. An example is summarized in the image to the right, in which cells aged in vitro were then used to establish 3D epidermal models - a combined approach previously never seen before in the industry.
